Fox News reports that the National Energy Summit in Lass Vegas, Nevada, will be home to discussion of a proposed solar system on the California/Nevada boarder. The system, if built, would create 400 mW of electricity, enough to power 300,000 homes.
The project, called NextLight Renewable Power LLC project, would install solar panels over 12 square miles of land.
The American Southwest receives enough power to create electricity for the entire United States. It is time to begin harnassing this renewable power. I would encourage individuals in Nevada to attend these meetings. It is important to understand what is happening in the United States with renewable energy. One way or another, every one of us will be paying for the shift to renewables. |
